How much does shipping cost?
We’re only able to ship domestically within Australia for now and exclusively use Australia Post. Shipping costs are based on the total value of your order as follows:

Do you send orders overseas?
Not yet! At the moment we’re only shipping domestically within Australia, but for our international visitors, make sure you subscribe to The Statecraft Journal to be the first to know when international ordering becomes available.
How long does it take to process an order?
If your order’s successful, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the order details. Please review and ensure you’ve entered the correct email and shipping address as we’re not responsible for non-delivery due to errors in any addresses you provide. If you don’t receive an email shortly after placing your order, please check your spam filter or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll confirm it for you.
We’re a small team and we make every effort to fulfil orders as quickly as possible. We usually process each one within 1-2 business days. You’ll receive notification via email once we’ve processed your order for shipping.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are typically shipped within 2-7 days of placing your order. Delivery to major metropolitan areas in VIC and NSW is usually made within 7 business days and deliveries to other states, regional and rural areas, can take up to 10 business days. These timelines are indicative and are provided by Australia Post - they may change for reasons beyond our control. Visit auspost.com.au to view current delays with deliveries to your region. Where’s my order?
Once it’s despatched, you’ll received a tracking number for your order via email that you can use to access Australia Post's parcel tracking system. It can take up to 24 hours for tracking information to become available there. You’ll be able to see where your order is now, and when it is due to arrive. As Australia Post is currently experiencing delivery delays due to COVID-19, we recommend you visit auspost.com.au for updates on delivery to your region.
If you haven’t received your order within 14 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at email@example.com with your name and order number, and we’ll look into it for you.
Do you provide refunds or returns?
In the unlikely event there’s a major problem with your purchase, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll help you from there. If you do need to return an item, it must be unopened and in its original saleable condition. You’re also responsible for the additional postage charges. When your return item is received, we’ll send you an email to notify you that we’ve received it and if applicable, also notify you of the approval or rejection of a refund. If we do offer you a refund, it may take up to 10 days to receive the money back in your account after the process is initiated.
How do I cancel/change my order?
You can cancel your order via email at email@example.com if it hasn’t been despatched. Unfortunately, we can’t amend/change orders that have already been shipped. If you forgot to add an item to your cart you’ll have to create a new order.
Why plant trees and not just stick to whiskey?
We strongly believe business can be a force for good. It goes without saying that you can't have great whiskey without great wood. In order to bring our our single cask, straight rye whiskey to life, we're heavily dependent on high-quality, sustainable forestry products. And we're not alone - it’s estimated that more than 1.6 billion people around the world rely on forests for shelter, livelihoods, water, fuel, and food security. Deforestation endangers these communities and is a primary contributor to climate change and environmental degradation - significant issues that impact us all.
As our business grows, we’ll extend our partnerships globally to help those trying to address the most wicked problems. It’s part of what we call ‘spirited diplomacy’ and it’s at the heart of everything we do. You can read more about why we do it here.
What kind of trees are planted?
Our planting partner, Eden Reforestation Projects, only plants native species trees, which vary from nation to nation - they never plant or introduce invasive species at any of their planting sites. They also plant a percentage of agroforestry species for sustainable community use.
Can I pick where my trees are planted?
Unfortunately, we don’t have the capability to allow you to choose where the trees associated with your purchases are planted. This is due to a number of reasons, including following specific planting seasons and allowing Eden to work closely with national leadership to direct the donations to the sites in most need, or the ones that can plant the quickest.
How do you ensure the trees are protected after planting?
Eden Reforestation Projects makes every effort to ensure the forests they plant become permanent and sustainable. Towards that end, they’ve adopted several approaches, including:
- working closely with all levels of government to secure written agreements designating restoration sites as protected in perpetuity
- planting a minimum of 10% of trees by number as agroforestry species, that is, fruit, fodder and construction species designed to provide food security and benefit legitimate human needs. Over time these trees become a source of sustainable income for the local communities
- hiring forest guards as part of the labor force for long-term guarding and protection of planting sites.
How do I know the trees won’t be cut down?
While planting doesn’t take place in logging areas, there’s never a 100% guarantee that some form of illegal harvesting won’t occur. However, many of the trees planted are well suited to coppicing (i.e. they grow back vigorously after harvesting) time and again. These trees sustainably meet the needs of local communities and provide for a rapidly and constantly growing diversity within reforested lands.
